Zoom Room Sandy is seeking an outgoing, knowledgeable and reliable dog lover to join our amazing team as a Front Desk Associate. In this role you will:
- Make the Zoom Room experience the best that it can be for our clients and their dogs - in person, over the phone, and in written form. We strive to make every client feel special, to earn their loyalty through our humble and relevant expertise, and to ensure they always leave with a happy, tired dog and a smile on their face.
- Sales: Conduct 30-minute "Introduction to Zoom Room" presentations/discussions with up to five potential clients with the goal of converting them to clients. Need to be comfortable being center-stage. Able to lead a discussion with a goal in mind while being attentive to client needs, and being swift on your feet to match them to our programs.
- Provide assistance to our Instructors during and between classes. Includes ensuring clients are safely managing their dogs in the lobby, setting up heavy agility equipment, Will include progressively more dog handling and client instructional interaction as you progress through out training program.
- Begin the Zoom Room apprenticeship program with the goal of becoming a Zoom Room dog training Instructor. It includes both online and extensive in-person training, providing the hands-on experience you'll need to become a confident and skilled Instructor.
- Some retail related tasks. Pretty minor cleaning duties for a dog facility.
Requirements:
- Prior experience working with dogs and dog-related knowledge is required.
- We will always consider experienced trainers (we can adapt training requirements), but this role is usually a better fit for someone who is committed but earlier in their career.
- Sales experience or ability is very desirable. We recognize it comes in many different forms.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and other team members, both verbally and in writing.
- An open, friendly, and helpful attitude with clients and team members.
- A track record of reliability.
- Comfortable working with POS systems and social media.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Willing to submit to a background check.
