General Job Description
We are hiring dog-loving individuals in the Richmond area to join our team as a Dog Trainer! This position includes assisting clients in scheduling their classes, helping customers pick out different products to meet their training and enrichment needs, overseeing puppy playtime, and teaching in-store group classes and private lessons.
General duties include:
- Leading group and private dog training classes
- Customer service
- Supervising social events and playgroups
- Maintaining a sparkling clean gym
- Retail product sales
- And plenty of head scratches and belly rubs!
Job requirements include:
- Availability on weekends and afternoons/evenings
- Reliable transportation
- A desire to work with dogs and learn about training and dog behavior
The ideal candidate will:
- Love dogs, but also enjoy working with people
- Have some customer service experience
- Be approachable to constructive feedback and coaching
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Be hardworking, proactive, and dependable
- Be a team player

Hours and Compensation:
- Full-time position: 35-40 hours per week
- The store is open 7 days a week, mostly in the afternoons and evenings on weekdays and the mornings and afternoons on weekends
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
