As a product manager intern, you’ll work on projects that help deliver our customers a growing portfolio of never-before-seen capabilities in threat prevention, visibility, scalability, and business enablement. Possible Projects/Responsibilities:
- Product Efficacy: Work on end-to-end security efficacy/detection-specific projects, from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project goals, timelines, and budget.
- Test Engagements: Work with various 3rd party test agencies and drive Zscaler products’ evaluation from security effective perspective
- Project planning and execution: Develop project plans, define project scope, create timelines, allocate resources, and monitor project progress to ensure successful delivery
- Threat Research: Keep track of changing trends in cyber-attacks in general and products / technologies /features to protect against them, stay updated on the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices through continuous threat research and analysis.
- Cross functional collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Development, product QA, Product Management, Operations, IT to ensure prioritization of security efficacy specific initiatives, features, enhancements etc.
- Customer engagements: Partner with customers for security effectiveness of product efficacy, provide guidance and receive feedback
- Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate project status, risks, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders and senior management.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and post-implementation reviews.
Minimum Qualifications:
- MBA or Master’s degree with undergraduate studies in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field in progress
- Coursework or project work in cybersecurity, security frameworks
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to create project plans, manage timelines, allocate resources, and monitor project progress
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of the market for Cyber-Security products, technologies (i.e. NGFW, IPS, Anti-Virus, Sandbox, WAAP, XDR)
- Understanding of security risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of network/sandbox evasions and anti-analysis techniques
Non-Exempt Role: Base Pay is Hourly*
