About the Role

The Manufacturing Quality Manager will work with internal teams to lead product and process quality targets in high-volume mass production. The Manufacturing Quality Manager will act as the manager and escalation point in driving continuous process improvement in assembly, test, and finished goods product quality in the end-to-end manufacturing process.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead manufacturing quality indicators reporting, control, and improvement structure – from planning through implementation.
  • Implement cross-functional quality improvement initiatives, problem-solving, driving accountability on quality opportunities, quality reviews, and associated metrics
  • Facilitate interdepartmental quality discussions for issues affecting production teams
  • Lead process-induced quality failure reduction and control measures
  • Ensure efficient and effective processes and tools are established for compliance with ISO/TL9000 standard requirements.
  • Exchange knowledge and information with other ZT sites as lessons learned to ensure best practices are shared and standardized throughout the company.
  • Serve as day-to-day guidance and escalation point for the Manufacturing Quality Engineering, In-Process Quality Control IPQC, and Final Quality Control FQC teams; advising and contributing to manufacturing process improvements assuring utmost product quality. 
  • Drives quality improvements including overseeing factory, supplier, and customer quality excursions.
  • Single leader in driving manufacturing data-driven proactive quality culture
  • Must demonstrate excellent analytical and data-driven conclusion skills.
  • Effective leadership skills with a proven ability to drive complex issues to closure in a timely manner and clearly communicate the result.
  • Manage quality issue diagnosis, root-cause determination, and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions with the appropriate team(s)
  • Become an advocate for the customer through excellent knowledge of the ZT manufacturing process, timely follow-through, and customer-focus

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, electrical engineering, or related technical discipline
  • 8 years of quality experience required. Experience in Computer or Electronic Manufacturing industry preferred
  • 3 years managing people in the same or similar quality-focused field.
  • Demonstrated experience /certification in Lean / Six Sigma a plus.
  • Project planning, leadership, and time management
  • Statistics and analytical principles
  • Experience in working within a global organization and manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Demonstrated success working in a dynamic organization while leading a team through objectives with multiple priority levels.
  • Experience in leading and mentoring team members.
  • Quick learner - can pick up new tools for reporting and analysis.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel.
  • Experience creating win-win scenarios with multiple stakeholders/interests to gain buy-in to meet quality objectives.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and strong ability to “think on your feet.”
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and flexibility
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent data diagnostic & analytical skills - able to make sense of large volumes of data.
  • Knowledge of database/reporting systems, and strong Excel skills.
