Summary:
The Cell lead’s main responsibility is to give day to day direction and leadership to the Cell. This will include safely producing a quality unit while meeting/exceeding production goals. Ensure that all policies and procedures are followed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Get direction from Shop Foreman for daily/weekly schedule.
· Provide direction and hold accountable driveline techs, washroom and blast room personnel.
· Leads by example and trains, motivates and coaches the shop personnel.
· Work with the shop scheduler to ensure the driveline techs are properly scheduled.
· Ensure organization and cleanliness.
· Back up quality checkers as needed.
· Open two communication between shop lead and management.
· Report to management any unsafe acts or conditions.
· Communicate with maintenance on equipment issues.
· Other duties as determined by management.
Preferred Education and Experience:
· Strong automotive background with a 2 year degree in automotive from a Vocational tech preferred.
· Minimum 5 years leading an automotive shop environment.
· Ability to problem solve complex automotive driveline issues.

Knowledge and Personal Attributes:
· Able to work independently as well as within the team.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel.
· Excellent working knowledge of transmissions, transfer cases and differentials.
· Able to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
· Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work with constantly changing priorities.
· Strong organizational and problem solving skills.
· Ability to perform physical labor as necessary.
