Summary
As a Tower Technician III, you will specialize in tower installations and maintenance, tackling tasks like troubleshooting alarms, performing electrical and mechanical tilts, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is complete.
Responsibilities
- Install radios, antennas, and related RF equipment
- Troubleshoot alarms and RSSI issues
- Perform electrical and mechanical tilts on antennas
- Run jumpers and create jumper connections
- Conduct safety audits on communication structures
- Complete required paperwork accurately and efficiently
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of relevant experience
- Valid state-issued driver's license
- Certified Tower Climber (Gravitec Systems, Inc. or ComTrain)
- Climb and descend various tower and rooftop structures
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to travel as needed
- Mount, align, cable, and test antennas and radios
- Perform grounding installations, tower demolition, and painting
- Proficient climber and rigger with knowledge of standard knots
- Trained in controlled descent and use of aerial lifts
- Strong troubleshooting skills in equipment, coax, and fiber
