Workers Compensation Claims Specialist II

Zurich is currently seeking an experienced Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation claim professional to join our claims team.

**** This is a hybrid position with the flexibility to work both in office and at home.

At this level, you will manage a workers’ compensation claims caseload that consists primarily of lost time claims of low to moderate exposure and complexity. You will own your assigned claims from end to end, resolving claims according to best practices and within authority limits. As part of Zurich North America’s commitment to service excellence, you will build partnerships with customers and brokers and may be aligned to specific accounts.

This position can be located in one the following office locations: Philadelphia, PA, Parsippany, NJ, or Boston, MA

Basic Qualifications:

• 
  Bachelor’s Degree and 4 or more years of experience in Claims Handling or Insurance area that includes workers’ compensation claims
  OR
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more years of experience in Claims Handling or Insurance area that includes workers’ compensation claims
  OR
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree with 4 or more years of experience in Claims Handling or Insurance area that includes workers’ compensation claims
  AND
• Must obtain and maintain required adjuster license(s)
• Microsoft Office experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• 
  4 or more years of experience in Workers’ Compensation claims handling including the state(s) of PA
• Analytical skills
• Negotiation skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience collaborating across work groups
• Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
• Juris Doctor (J.D.)
