Zurich North America is currently hiring an IT Infrastructure Specialist and this person can work in one of several locations Schaumburg, IL (North America HQ);
Owings Mills, MD; Anoka, MN; Overland Park, KS OR remote for the right candidate.
This role will be filled at either the IT Delivery Consultant or IT Infrastructure Specialist III level. The hiring manager will determine the appropriate level based upon the selected applicant’s experience and skill set relative to the qualifications listed for this position.
Responsibilities :
Analyze, design, test, document, and implement solutions for continuous data availability, integrity, backup and protection
Resolve complex problems with little or no guidance; independently research and promote specialized technical solutions
Troubleshoot and solving difficult system problems (hardware, software, and basic networking)
Design and implement new data protection solutions, manage change, and add backup policies in a large-scale, mission-critical, multi-PB storage environment
Level 1
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelors degree and 3 or more years of experience in the information technology area OR
Zurich Cybersecurity Technician Apprentice, including Associate Degree and 4 or more years of experience in the information technology area OR
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the information technology area AND
MS Office experience
Knowledge of information technology operations
Preferred Qualifications :
Minimum 5 plus; years of relevant experience in backup solution management
Minimum five years of recent experience analyzing complex hardware and software issues associated with backup-related technologies such as Symantec NetBackup, Rubrik, DataDomain, and similar backup technologies
Experience with Enterprise data protection and disaster recover solution and strong understanding of enterprise application data management requirements
In-depth knowledge of backup technology and recovery / retention procedure
Ability to balance multiple, concurrent projects and regularly communicate issues and experience working in an autonomous, fast-paced environment with minimal guidance
Knowledge of storage solutions from EMC, NetApp, Pure, and similar technologies
Excellent planning, interpersonal, problem solving, leadership and organization skills are required; strong communication skills, including verbal, written and presentation are necessary;
active listening skills
Level 2
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelors degree and 5 or more years of experience in the information technology area OR
