The Production Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations in our plant in Reynosa to ensure operational excellence. The ideal candidate will manage effectively the production according to our targets, meeting Safety, Quality and Delivery expectations, minimizing costs and ensure the best practices are always maintained.

As the Production Manager, you will play a key role in leading the planning, direction and coordination of all assigned operations functions and initiatives necessary to drive short- and long-term objectives.

This position reports to the Plant Manager in Reynosa.

In this role, the Production Manager will:

  • Define proper standards and processes to ensure customer satisfaction through on-time-delivery of high-quality products
  • Conduct risk assessments of safety, processes and projects related to manufacturing team
  • Drive the improvements on Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by appropriate data analysis
  • Active champion of improving operational performance and customer satisfaction levels
  • Creates & developes the strategic Value Stream plant through System CIP short cycles, establishing priorities based on business requirements and aligned with the business "True North", using the current VS map as starting point, aligning & focusing resources to reach stability, set the next goal or move to the next big area of improvement to achieve the desired state of the VS Design
  • Promotes the use of well-known systematic tools like A3 & PDCA in solving complex manufacturing problems.
  • Empowered to report and/or stop the production line, when identifying safety or environmental risk, quality problems or deviations in process standards
  • To work according of the I.M.S. (Integrated Management System) which includes ISO 9001, 18001, 14001, 27001, and 22301

Required Technical Skills:

  • Technical understanding as well as lean manufacturing
  • Ability in implementing Lean Principles (e.g., Value Stream Mapping & Design, Standardized Work, System & Point CIP, Visual Factory, TPM, Daily Lean Management, Landis Gyr Production System) to maximize efficiencies to produce the highest quality product at the lowest operational costs
  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems experience, SAP experience is preferred
  • Ability to work in fast paced just-in-time manufacturing environment
  • Highly effective organizational and planning skills

  • Proven experience in Lean Manufacturing (Certification highly desirable)
  • Strong interpersonal skills used for review, motivation, development, and reinforcement of standards and policies for direct reports

Educational / professional qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in (Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical) Engineering or a related field required
  • More than 5 years of work experience as Hands-on Production Manager with demonstrated successful leadership
  • Working knowledge of the electronic meters or similar industry is a plus
  • Must be able to flex hours to support 24/7 operations
  • English business fluency necessary
