In order to join the Navy, you must meet certain minimum requirements. This includes having a high school diploma or GED, being between 17 and 41 years old, and being a US citizen or Legal Permanent Resident. If you meet these requirements, you must then pass physical, mental, and moral standards, as well as the MEPS exam. Additionally, you must earn a qualifying score on the ASVAB test. Once these steps are completed, you will take the Oath of Enlistment and then attend boot camp before officially joining the Navy.
