Bank tellers are responsible for managing various financial transactions for customers, such as deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and money orders. They serve as the primary point of contact for customer service and must be knowledgeable about the bank‘s systems and policies. Working at the teller station, they interact directly with customers, handling cash and checks and completing banking transactions. Due to their involvement in most transactions, bank tellers are often the first to detect and prevent fraud, such as counterfeit money or identity theft. In addition to these responsibilities, bank tellers may also be tasked with counting cash, answering phones, filing deposit slips and paperwork, managing ATM deposits, collecting payments, providing account information, resolving customer issues, and balancing the vault and cash drawers at the end of the day.
