A PIP, or Performance Improvement Plan, is put in place when there is a need for improvement in your work performance. It‘s important to note that being placed on a PIP does not automatically mean that you are at risk of being fired. In fact, it can be seen as a positive step, as it shows that your employer is willing to work with you to make necessary improvements. Essentially, it‘s a way for your employer to communicate that they want to see positive changes in your performance, rather than resorting to termination.
