Let us join together to celebrate the accomplishments that have happened as a result of the efforts of the Board of Education, the employees of District 62, the students, the parents and families, and our supportive community. Highlights from this year's accomplishments include: The district and all schools made Adequate Yearly Progress and met the Annual Measurable Achievement Objectives (AMAO) South School received recognition as a designated NCLB Blue Ribbon School and Iroquois and Plainfield both made the Illinois Honor Roll for student achievement gains The Educational Foundation awarded 21 grants to staff totaling $12,000, in part as a result of support of the Comedy Review and the staff payroll deduction program, "Cents for Kids" District 62 was recognized by the United Way for employees contributing over $10,000 The "We Can Food Drive" surpassed all expectations and enabled many families in our community to have healthy meals In an effort to recognize members of our learning community making a difference, a new award program was launched.
