Job Type Full-time Description Provide teaching assistance for up to 5.5 hours per school day at Clarke Schools for Hearing and Speech in an early childhood school program for children who are deaf or hard of hearing and who are learning and using spoken language. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Assist classroom Teachers of the Deaf in the implementation of group lessons and individual/group learning activities Assist the children through daily routines and transitions (e.g., moving from activity to activity, dressing/undressing, toileting, outside play, snack and lunchtime) Engage children in play and early language interactions in and out of the classroom Assist in carrying out individual learning and behavior plans and associated data collection Assist in attendance, record keeping and preparation of educational materials and learning space Provide on-going listening and language stimulation under the guidance of the classroom Teacher of the Deaf and Speech Language Pathologists
