The California Autism Center and Learning Group is a world class organization in the Central Valley that provides high-quality center-based services designed to positively change social and cognitive skills in children affected by autism spectrum disorder and provide a new kind of hope to their families. Our beautiful centers offer a warm and welcoming environment for our behavior intervention programs, parent seminars, community education and whole family support. Often, parents tell us that their child doesn't look at them, constantly repeats words or phrases, or reacts oddly. The symptoms of autism spectrum disorder can be frightening while making us feel alone and unsure of what to do. The first step is to understand that you're not alone. Currently, 1 in 68 children are diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. Next, it is important to recognize that early treatment can significantly improve your child's development. We encourage you to voice your concerns to your child's pediatrician as soon as you notice behavior changes. You may be referred to a psychologist, neurologist, or a state agency for an evaluation and a potential diagnosis. In many cases we can assist with obtaining a diagnosis from one of these agencies. Once your child has been diagnosed, call or visit us to initiate the treatment process. We will create a program that will positively impact their communication skills and understanding. We will also focus on changing problem behaviors that will enable your child to live more independently.
