Your PTSA is involved in the safety of our kids. We give money towards the emergency preparedness supplies. Part of safety is communication. We hope the information we give you and things like the school directory, can help you be in touch with other families. Mrs. Meyers came to one of our I-Connect meetings to talk about technology and safety. We even help keep the PE students safer as PTSA gives $1000 a year for upkeep of the weights and exercise equipment. Your PTSA wants to know your needs and wants around school safety. Please contact me or others on the board with your concerns or ideas. If you didn't notice.. we have been asking for donations for your PTSA. Our "ask" instead of doing an auction or selling items, is so that all of your donated money goes directly to PTSA (versus to pay for items sold or auction costs). We want to continue to be able to bring speakers to school, pay for teacher grants, support student socials and pay for things such as the 8th grade field trip. PTSA is "you"... we are a formal organization to help give "voice" for families and teachers. We are still short of our basic budget for next year. Please donate to our Shine on Chinook fundraiser.
