Medical Assistant-Certified The Position General Summary: The medical assistant-certified will provide clinical skills as a part of a larger healthcare team in the Clinic Services department. Under the standing orders of the health officer and direction of the delegated licensed health care practitioner, the MA-C will provide immunizations, medication administration, phlebotomy, STI screening and TB skin testing in the clinic and community environment when the licensed health care practitioner is readily accessible. The MA-C will also conduct health assessments and referrals as necessary for program duties. Essential duties may include but are not limited to: Gathers appropriate clinical intake data including necessary vital signs and health screening data. Maintains documentation in the clinical record to assure the accurate tracking of patient medical care.
