DACO Fire Equipment of Lubbock, Texas, was founded by S. A. Tiny Davis. Purchased building and moved into its current Lubbock location. This is where the home office is located. Purchased adjacent land and expanded its service facilities. DACO was further expanded, building a warehouse 100 X 50, again increasing the service facilities to handle the larger volume of service work. DACO began manufacturing small grass trucks and once again expanded by adding a 50 X50 manufacturing facility. DACO joined Rosenbauer a top quality manufacture of fire apparatus and the largest in the industry, world wide. DACO had outgrown the present facilities and purchased a three acre, 10,000 sq. ft. fabrication facility in north Lubbock. This expanded DACOs ability to perform maintenance for existing customers and increased orders for small fire apparatus.
