Drum Parts, Inc. was founded in 1947 operating from a 15,000sq. ft. plant in Cleveland, OH. In 1969 Group Industries, an Ohio-based holding company, purchased Drum Parts, Inc. After operating successfully for a few years, and needing to expand its geographical market Group Industries purchased a Chicagoland manufacturer. Known as Rings Incorporated then would become Drum Parts Midwest, Inc. in 1973. Upon the acquisition Lane Zamin, an experienced tool & die maker, was hired to run the plant as well as automate and improve efficiency. In 2005 Lane Zamin purchased Group Industries with the help of his son, Steven. Today Drum Parts operates with over 50 years of experience in manufacturing and roll forming. Presently Drum Parts operates out of a 38,000 sq. ft. location in Thornton, Illinois and 36,000 sq. ft. location in Cleveland, Ohio specializing in the production of components used for the industrial container industry.
