Senior Accountant Job Description The Senior Accountant will participate in the accounting, consolidation, and reporting of global operations and will have responsibility for assigned technical accounting areas. These areas include stock-based compensation, retirement plan accounting, segment reporting, legal/environmental analysis, identifiable intangible assets and goodwill, common stock/EPS, and debt-related processes. The Senior Accountant will also participate in the preparation and filing of SEC forms, as well as special projects such as the implementation of new accounting rules, regulations, and standards of the SEC and FASB, acquisitions/dispositions, software implementation, and other projects as needed. Position Summary: This position is responsible for providing support to the General Accounting functions of the department by assisting with the preparation of reconciliations, research, journal entries, assisting with accounting month-end close and other general accounting responsibilities.
