Federal Tool & Engineering was established in 1925. Through the years, FTE has been able to grow by effectively meeting the needs of a diverse customer base with equally diverse capabilities. Initially a tool & die shop founded by the Beverung family, Federal Tool & Engineering has developed a full complement of capabilities in engineering, tool design and construction, fabrication, metal stamping, weldments, and assembly. The evolution of offerings, impacted by the ever changing needs of our customers and the economic conditions they've faced, has provided FTE with a firm foundation capable of adapting to our current and future demands. David Tomczek and Steven Moyer purchased FTE from the Beverung family in 2005. Immediately they began to apply lean, agile manufacturing concepts. Working from the base established over the decades, Dave and Steve have expanded the capabilities and infused the business with sound and advanced business, manufacturing, and quality systems. In 2013, a new manufacturing building was acquired in West Bend, Wisconsin. Renovations based on lean manufacturing principles are currently in progress.
