FMC Science is the research arm of Family Medicine Rural Health Clinic, the largest independent private practice in Lampasas and Coryell Counties, Texas, with a service area of over 80,000 residents. FMC has served Lampasas, Copperas Cove and the Central Texas Area for 80 years and is highly regarded in the community. FMC has 12 board-certified family practice providers who care for 25,000 patients (60,000 patient visits) each year. The Practice recognizes the great opportunity to bring clinical research to the area and will serve as the ideal partner for Contract Research Organizations (CROs) and Sponsors who desire access to known patients for their clinical trials. Dr. James Cain will serve as Principal Investigator for the clinical trials, with Dr. Mark Lane and Amanda Allen, FNP acting as Sub-Investigators. Dr. Cain, Dr. Lane, Ms. Allen and the FMC Science team have committed many hours to extensive Citi-GCP, IATA, Protection of Human Subjects, OSHA and HIPAA training in preparation for offering clinical trials to the patients of Family Medicine Clinic, and look forward to partnering with Sponsors, CROs and Patients in clinical trials that contribute to the advancement of Medicine.
