Job Type Full-time Description JOB DESCRIPTION The Welder will perform repairs on forklifts and various types of industrial equipment on-site at customer locations and in the shop. Work with the Service Dispatch group and Shop Foreman to respond to service calls. Communicate with the customer contact and their staff to provide their forklift and material handling needs. Responsible for identifying larger jobs and communicating with the customer and the office staff to handle these welding repairs. Requirements SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES Must have basic mechanical experience. Troubleshoot and perform basic to complex welding repairs of forklifts and other related objects typically made of steel that customer may need repaired or made. Perform thorough forklift inspections to identify any welding repairs that are needed. Note and report all findings of potential or additional repairs necessary on every work order. Qualifications: •High School or GED equivalent •2+ years of experience with flux-core MIG welding of plate, heavy wall pipe, etc; experience welding stainless steel is a plus •Ability to adhere to WPS & material prep for structural welding •Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics •Mechanically inclined, production oriented, and safety and quality conscious •Basic math skills • Understanding of devices such as micrometers, calipers, straightedges and other various measuring tools •General knowledge of ancillary lifting devices preferred. Overhead crane experience a huge plus.
