HealthPCP has been in business since July 2001 with the main company offices being located in the southwest suburbs of Chicago. The company was formed by two healthcare industry experts whose combined knowledge was able to bridge the gap between providers and payers. One founder was an expert in practice management, billing and collections, while the other founder was an expert in managed care and payer processes. This combination did and still does provide HealthPCP the unique ability to understand the entire payment cycle. The company currently supports 150 providers across 60 practices. Our client base is approximately one-half primary care and one-half specialty care. Our specialty clients practice in fifteen different disciplines. "Who we are" is represented in the company name, as our focus is healthcare and we serve to facilitate the exchange of information between providers, consumers and payers. Healthcare happens during interactions between providers and their patients. Those interactions are very information intensive. We manage that information to make sure providers are reimbursed as they should be for the services that they provide. In 2009 we added an optional service that includes access to an industry leading electronic medical record (EMR). While we do not enter the exam room, we do provide the tools needed so that our clients can better manage the clinical aspects of their practices. For those clients who choose to use an EMR other than the one we provide, we will assist with the flow of patient information between the practice management and EMR systems.
