Job title: Chemist I Address: High Point, NC Contract: 12 Month (Temp to Perm) Overview: The Chemist I executes daily project tasks and lab work requests with minimal supervision. The employee will be efficient at working with defined standard operating procedures (SOPs) and making minor adjustments to established product lines to achieve performance or application efficiencies. Purpose/Key Objective of the Position: The Chemist I has a high degree of personal initiative and can handle tasks with minimal supervision. The individual has a solid understanding of chemistry or material science with the ability to interpret project plans and work independently on a daily to weekly basis. The Chemist I works closely with a more experienced chemist, project lead or direct manager to modify existing products, manufacture new experimental formulations and trial process changes for coatings customers.
