At Job Ready Services, we know that employees who are physically capable of performing their job are more productive and have a reduced risk of injury. I have been a Physical Therapist for over 35 years, and I know that I have assisted injured workers to return to jobs they should never have been doing in the first place because they were not physically capable. This is why these workers became injured and in many cases, permanently disabled. I knew there was a better way and in 2006, we launched Job Ready Services to identify those persons who were unable to do the job BEFORE they were placed on the job, saving employers thousands in worker's comp costs and protecting employees from injury and disability. JRS has a staff experienced in physical and occupational therapy, as well as exercise physiology, and ergonomic assessments. We provide services to employers that offer an alternative to the "same old way" of managing worker's comp on the back end. My personal mission is to change the way NC thinks about and manages worker's comp. With NC reporting an average of 25 weeks out of work for injured workers, it is time to consider alternatives that bring objectivity, evidence-based practices and accountability to this system. By becoming a licensee of the WorkSTEPS® employment testing program for new hires and continuing to provide other services to facilitate a return to work of injured workers (Job Analysis, Work Conditioning, Functional Capacity Evaluations), it became our mission to be THE source for assisting employers to implement an effective HIRE to RETIRE program for their employees.
