Job description: The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) works under the general direction of the Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. The CMA is responsible for the delivery of integrative patient care that promotes the safety and well-being of all patients. This position collaborates with the nurse practitioner/physician assistant to ensure effective patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. This position is also responsible for covering the front desk areas including patient’s check-in, and collection of fees. The CMA is expected to enter appropriate documentation in the electronic medical records, perform in-office labs, patient education, perform other duties assigned within the scope of your licensure.
