JOB DESCRIPTION Under the supervision of Academic Leadership, the Middle School Math Teacher is responsible for creating an environment that supports a culture of learning and embraces student achievement in mathematics This includes creating classroom lesson plans, administering recognition, modeling exemplary behavior, and facilitating/instructing on all subject areas as it aligns with state and school standards. Additionally, he/she will create well-rounded and comprehensive instructional programs that challenge the minds of students and promote innovative classroom learning and engagement. He/she will also partner with teachers to develop consistent strategies and goals across grade levels and collaborate with Academic Coaches to develop classroom strategies. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field. Must be licensed to teach in the state of Minnesota or can obtain license within six months of employment 1+ years of experience working in a classroom as a teacher
