PURPOSE AND SCOPE: Functions as part of the dialysis health care team in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy for patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse in accordance with organization policies, procedures, and training and in compliance with regulations set forth by the corporation, state, and federal agencies. Applies knowledge and skills, professionally in daily performance of management activities. Assists in the design, measurement, monitoring and implementation of programs to improve patient care within the hospital as measured by improved clinical outcome, improved efficiency of resource use and improved patient and physician satisfaction.
