ORECA (Oregon Rural Electric Cooperative Association) is a trade association of eighteen electric cooperatives in Oregon. Our primary mission is to represent rural electric co-ops interest in the Oregon Legislature and in Congress. In addition to lobbying, ORECA provides educational opportunities for the members and we organize an annual meeting and a mid-year golf tournament. The Communications Specialist is responsible for devising, implementing, and managing internal and external communications in support of ORECA's primary mission, goals, and associated activities. The Communications Specialist will ensure that all communication(s) produced by ORECA are professional, engaging, well written, and appropriate for the target audience. Individual should possess excellent written and verbal skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, and a keen sense of the Oregon political system. The Communications Specialist reports directly to the Executive Director of ORECA.
