PhycoTech was founded in 1990 as a home based business. In January, 1994, in response to increased demand for our services and a much larger volume of in-house samples, PhycoTech moved to a larger laboratory/office facility, (approximately 800 sq. ft. with 1200 sq. ft. storage area.) In an effort to continue to meet the challenges of an increased workload and the additional services that PhycoTech provides, along with future demands, in August 1998, PhycoTech moved into a new building with approximately 10,000 sq. ft. of office and laboratory space. In October, 2002, PhycoTech introduced its new integrated data management software, ASA System. PhycoTech continues to upgrade technology in order to provide the most up-to-date information to our customers. PhycoTech incorporated as an S Corporation in the State of Michigan in August 1995. We are registered to do business in several other states including Florida, Oregon, and Washington. We are certified as a Woman Owned Business with the State of Michigan which offers WOB certification through the Michigan Department of Transportation. We have been a qualified DBE since October, 2000.
