The Lord brought great revival among those meeting at the store. A year later the body of believers was constituted as a Church. The foundation for the building was soon laid and our first pastor, Billy Burton, was called to lead the church. The Lord continued to provide and bless Rich Pond through different leaders, members, the community and His Word. In 1995 our current sanctuary was constructed. Many things have changed over the years but our God has remained the same and ever so faithful. Having been, as we trust, brought by divine grace to embrace the Lord Jesus Christ, and to give up ourselves wholly to Him, having been baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit; we do now solemnly and joyfully covenant with each other, to walk together in Him with brotherly love, to His glory as our common Lord. We do, therefore, depend on the Holy Spirit to walk together in Christian love; to strive for the advancement of this church, in knowledge, holiness, and comfort; to promote its prosperity and spirituality; to sustain its worship, ordinances, discipline, and doctrines. We will contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the ministry, the expenses of the church, the relief of the poor, and the spread of the gospel through all nations. We also strive to maintain family and private devotions; to religiously educate and shepherd our children; to walk carefully and diligently in the world so that the souls of our kindred and acquaintances may be saved. We will also endeavor to be just in our dealings, faithful in our engagements, and exemplary in our conduct.
