6.25 hours a day Our schools have both non-program Special Education Assistants, that work with students that have lesser needs, and Program Special Education Assistants that work with students that have higher needs. Starting hourly rates for non-program assistants are $17.12-$17.41. Program assistants' rates are $17.62-$17.91. Program Assistants receive an additional $0.50 per hour.
