At Sly Trunk, we pride ourselves in being super users of the software we build, regardless of the domain or audience. Last night (Sunday), three of us were awake past midnight watching the JBay Open because over the many months we've spent working with the WSL, building their website and apps, we've become pro-surfing fans. It meant when an issue occurred during the live event, we could quickly debug and fix it. It meant that on our 9:30am call this morning with a third party integration we could add anecdotal insights to another issue that showed up with the live broadcast. It means that we're playing in multiple Fantasy Surfing groups with our friends and when we noticed a missed chance for engagement (trash talk) and gap in the mobile apps, we added the ability to see opponent picks once they are locked.
