St. Pius the Tenth is a stewardship parish. Stewardship is based upon the Biblical sharing of faith, fellowship and funding. It is a call to respond to God gratefully and generously by placing Him at the center of our lives. The message of the gospel is our most cherished gift. We have been called to a life of prayer and holiness. It is our responsibility to nurture our faith by sharing it with and teaching it to others, especially children. In other words, we are entrusted to spread the word of God by sharing our faith with family, church and community. This is called "stewardship of spiritual resources." We also have a great deal to offer each other! As we journey toward a deeper commitment to Jesus Christ and toward a deeper commitment to stewardship in our lives, it is important that we consider how we use our skills, knowledge and time to serve our parish family, the Archdiocese and the world. This is called "stewardship of human resources." As Christians, the stewardship of our financial resources is a matter of faith. In many respects, our attitude about one mirrors our relationship with God and neighbor. This approach to stewardship is a scriptuaral way of looking at church support. The scriptures speak of tithing, returning 10 percent to God. We suggest 5 percent for parish and 5 percent for other charities you may wish to support. Every St. Pius the Tenth household is asked to make stewardship a way of life. You are invited to consider a weekly, monthly or annual gift based upon conscience, ability and the relationship you have with God. When making your financial commitment, please remember that true stewardship includes spiritual and human resources as well. A stewardship brochure that better explains the true meaning of this program and a stewardship pledge card may be obtained from the parish Rectory Office. As we journey together in faith, we willingly offer the gifts God has given us by making a sound investment in our precious faith, our spiritual family and our Catholic tradition.

The term is considered[by whom?] inclusive of distinctly non-religious forms of support as well as of those from religious communities. Humanist groups, which act on behalf of non-religious people, have developed pastoral care offerings in response to growing demand for the provision of like-minded support from populations undergoing rapid secularisation, such as the UK. Humanists UK for example manages the Non-Religious Pastoral Support Network, a network of trained and accredited volunteers who operate throughout prisons, hospitals, and universities in the UK. The terms pastoral care and pastoral support are preferred because these sound less religious than terms such as chaplaincy. Surveys have shown that more than two thirds of patients support non-religious pastoral care being available in British institutions. Similar offerings are available from humanist groups around Europe and North America.
