South Texas Children's Home Ministries is a multi-service organization offering basic dependent residential childcare, family counseling services, job readiness training for women, and international childcare and humanitarian efforts. It is a licensed childcare facility by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. STCHM receives many privately placed children as well as children placed by state agencies. STCH Ministries is also an affiliate of the Baptist General Convention of Texas (BGCT) and is governed by a board of 24 volunteer directors. The organization does not accept state or federal funds for operation, and relies solely on the generosity of individuals, churches, businesses, organizations, foundations and the BGCT. All STCHM services are made available to individuals and families regardless of their ability to pay. Contributions toward services are always welcome and appreciated. South Texas Children's Home Ministries ministered to over 15,000 children and family members during the past fiscal year through its residential childcare campus in Beeville, counseling offices in Corpus Christi and Victoria, Christian Women's Job Corps classes in Corpus Christi, and international ministry to children and families in the Dominican Republic.
