Valley Lanes, a Beaverton landmark since 1960, has reopened as SuperPlay. A fire on January 1, 2012 closed the bowling alley due to extensive smoke damage. It has now reopened following a $2,400,000 renovation which transformed it into a modern entertainment center. There are now 24 state-of-the art bowling lanes including new scoring, automatic bumpers, couch seating, a concert quality sound system, plus six 15' x 10' projection screens and eight TVs for high definition viewing of sports and music videos. There is also a 3,200 square foot space themed laser tag arena with room for 24 players, an arcade with some of the newest redemption games, along with a flight simulator and a skiing simulator. The remodeled restaurant can seat 50 people with room for 100 more on the concourse.
