The Food Server Assistant is responsible primarily for assisting the Food Server in serving the guest. This person must have good communication skills as well as the ability to lift, pull and push moderate weight. This is a fast paced position with continual customer contact. Receives and prepares beverage orders, including mixing alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to standard beverage recipes. Maintains the cleanliness of the bar area and equipment. Essential Job Functions: Greet and serve guests in a friendly courteous manner; Receive and prepare beverage orders from food servers, cocktail servers; Know what brands of liquor, beer and wine we offer as "comped" beverages; Mix alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to memorized standard beverage recipes; Maintain cleanliness of bar area by removing used glasses, napkins, emptying ashtrays and wiping bar top; Maintain and replenish ice supply; Operate cash register, complete transactions according to procedures, and maintain accurate bank; Never serve two drinks at the same time to one person - never a beer and a shot; Be aware of intoxicated guests; stay up-to-date on care training; Other reasonable duties as assigned EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School/GED preferred 6 months related
