The Del E. Webb Center for the Performing Arts, a collaborative of community members and educators, is committed to providing life-enhancing experiences through the arts for the students in the Wickenburg area on a regular basis. The "Arts for Kids" program is designed to complement and enhance the local schools' arts and cultural curriculum in order to enrich the educations of its students. Utilizing study guides, student reactions and "talk backs," students are learning about multi-discipline art forms in a non-classroom setting. Our "Arts for Kids" programs are provided free of charge and are important ways in which we can help bring the lively arts to the 2,100 students who live in our community. Until this program was established in 2002, children in our region, northwestern Maricopa County, did not have access to any integrated cultural arts programs.
