The Public Address Announcer introduces starting lineups, each batter as they come to bat, and substitutions as they happen. It is the Public Address Announcer's responsibility to understand the flow of the game as detailed in the game day script including timing of music, raffles, on field contests, etc., and to synchronize with the On Field Emcees and the Music and Sound Effects Operator. In addition, the Public Address Announcer must be flexible and adaptable in order to react quickly to unforeseen issues.
