Job Type Part-time, Temporary Description Teaching Artists (ages 22+) support their Lead Teaching Artist and a team of Apprentices (ages 14-21) to create a public art and community impact project on a seasonal basis (Summer). This job is available to artists with advanced technical skills who are excited to share their craft with the next generation. Seasonal project teams most often paint massive outdoor murals, but past projects have also included creative writing, dance, fashion, filmmaking, photography, and research. Teaching Artists' objective is twofold: to support the successful completion of a seasonal project; and to nurture Apprentices' skills in collaboration, communication, creativity, critical thinking, goal orientation, and growth orientation. Teaching Artist wages are $24.37 an hour. Teaching Artists work 30 hours per week for an 8-week period, beginning in early June.
