The City Engineer is currently part of the Building and Inspections Department but will be elevated to Department Director of the newly created Department of Engineering. This department provides mapping services to all departments within the city. The department administers the permitting process for utility installations and assists in the acquisition of rights of way for roadway and drainage and improvement projects.
