The professional school bus driver we train and employ is performing many tasks which include but are not limited to supervising the behavior of pupils, driving the bus, following an established route, maintaining a time schedule, compensating for the driving errors of other motorists, and many times coping with adverse weather and road conditions. In order that such tasks may be performed safely and effectively, the school bus driver must obey laws, follow school board and administrative rules, and practice recommended procedures for safe school bus operation.
