Requirements and Responsibilities

Asset Management Administrator V administers an organization's policies and processes to control and maintain physical assets, including property, vehicles, and equipment. Monitors asset lifecycles, inventories, locations, maintenance status, and costs. Being an Asset Management Administrator V assigns asset tags and identifiers to physical items for tracking. Utilizes specialized software or databases to establish comprehensive records of each asset, maintaining an up-to-date asset registry. Additionally, Asset Management Administrator V conducts audits to determine the condition of assets and verify that inventories match records. Prepares and distributes comprehensive status reports that document purchase dates, condition, and the responsible departments. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Asset Management Administrator V works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in "solution" or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. To be an Asset Management Administrator V typically requires 10+ years of related experience.
