Requirements and Responsibilities

Billing Clerk IV performs various clerical activities in the billing department, including data entry, information verification and bill generation. Runs reports for management and conducts research to aid in the investigation of billing discrepancies and errors. Being a Billing Clerk IV may be responsible for responding to customer inquiries regarding bills. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Additionally, Billing Clerk IV typically reports to a manager or supervisor. The Billing Clerk IV independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors. Has gained full proficiency in a broad range of activities related to the job. To be a Billing Clerk IV typically requires 5-7 years of related experience.
