Requirements and Responsibilities

Campus Police Supervisor leads the investigation and apprehension of campus criminals. Protects life and property safety on campus. Being a Campus Police Supervisor ensures compliance with state laws, city ordinances, and university regulations. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Campus Police Supervisor typically reports to a head of division/department. Requires P.O.S.T. certification. The Campus Police Supervisor manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Campus Police Supervisor typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.
