Chemical Technician II determines the physical and chemical properties of compounds using quantitative and qualitative analyses in physical, organic, or inorganic chemistry. Performs a variety of chemical tests and is knowledgeable with instrumental techniques. Being a Chemical Technician II prepares materials for laboratory examination. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty or in a related area. Additionally, Chemical Technician II typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Chemical Technician II typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.
