Requirements and Responsibilities

Claims Quality Audit Director directs the claims quality audit function to ensure accuracy, compliance, and consistency across all claims operations. Oversees managers, supervisors, and auditors responsible for evaluating claim handling, decisions, and payments. Being a Claims Quality Audit Director develops audit strategy, methodologies, and quality standards aligned with regulatory and organizational requirements. Analyzes audit results and error trends to identify systemic issues and recommend corrective actions. Additionally, Claims Quality Audit Director reports quality findings and improvement initiatives to senior leadership and stakeholders. Ensures compliance with applicable regulations, internal controls, and industry best practices. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Claims Quality Audit Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Claims Quality Audit Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.
