Requirements and Responsibilities

Commercial Credit Analysis Manager manages the commercial credit analysis function that collects, reviews, and analyzes data and prepares detailed credit analysis evaluating the terms and creditworthiness of commercial loan applications. Reviews and verifies sources of information, including financial statements, collateral appraisals, credit scores, and cash flow analysis. Being a Commercial Credit Analysis Manager implements best practices and standard methodologies to assign risk ratings to loans, calculate essential ratios, and complete an analysis of the applicant's financial status. Develops standardized credit memo formats that include essential information and recommendations to facilitate review. Additionally, Commercial Credit Analysis Manager oversees processes, workflows, and schedules for report preparation. May be authorized to approve exceptions to the application for loan or credit extensions. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Commercial Credit Analysis Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Commercial Credit Analysis Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes.
