Requirements and Responsibilities

Commercial Real Estate Lending Manager manages commercial real estate lending activities to ensure effective origination, portfolio management, and regulatory compliance. Oversees daily activities of commercial real estate loan officers and supports deal execution. Being a Commercial Real Estate Lending Manager reviews credit analyses and loan structures to ensure policy compliance and effective risk assessment. Supports business development efforts and assists with complex or higher-risk transactions. Additionally, Commercial Real Estate Lending Manager monitors portfolio quality and addresses emerging credit concerns to mitigate risk. Monitors, trains, and develops lending staff to improve performance and expertise. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require CRE Lending certification or licensure. Typically reports to a director. The Commercial Real Estate Lending Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Commercial Real Estate Lending Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes.
